Jarzen, received his Ph.D. from
the University of Toronto in 1973.
Since then, the focus of his has
work has been a global approach
in the understanding the evolution
of major plant life during the
Earth's history. Most recently
the Director of Global Education
at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens,
in Sarasota, Florida, David’s
prestigious career has led to
the publication of more than 155
papers, including both professional
and popular articles. Also an
accomplished photographer and
illustrator, David’s work
has have been featured in Scientific
American, The Owl Magazine, other
popular publications, on the Internet,
and in museum displays in Canada
and the USA. His educational programs
have been incorporated in several
radio and television productions
including CBC's "Nature of
Things", the PBS NOVA Series,
the NHK (Japan) Series "The
Miracle Planet", the National
Film Board of Canada, the Discovery
Channel and other North American
cable networks. |
