W. Miller was born in upstate
NY just in time to visit the nearby
studios of famed anatomist Louis
Paul Jonas, and the dinosaur reconstructions
he created for the 1963 World’s
Fair. Shortly thereafter, he began
drawing and failed to stop. Miller
studied at Montserrat School of
Visual Art outside of Boston,
the Art Student’s League
in NYC under Robert Beverly Hale,
Gustav Rehberger and David Leffel,
and at Project of Living Artists
in Soho with Joseph Catuccio.
In contradistinction to Ambrose
Bierce’s definition of achievement:
“The death of endeavor and
the birth of disgust”, Miller
continually strives to perfect
his craft, and with the help of
scientists, bring into being the
beautiful and marvelous forms
lost to extinction. He joins Syncreta
to further his commitment to illustrating
Earth History for audiences of
all ages. |
